The Work that Becomes a New Genre in Itself Will Now be Called...

You have made me a less miserable man. Thank you for being fooled. And oh! Don’t forget to enjoy the movie’s unique storyline, or whatever is left of it. (Guest which movie is at the top? You’d be surprised.) For your information, Memento is currently topping the chart (now #8) on the All-Time List of Best Movies at the IDMB web page. I am so happy to know that I have ruined your Memento moment. Now, hopefully, you will understand the movie better as you watch it. Thus, the wild manhunt begins. Pathetically, he is falsely lead to believe that somebody else is the heinous killer. As soon as he realized what he had done and how tragic it was, his memory started playing tricks on him. Well, as some of us might have expected it, he is in fact his wife’s (accidental) killer. Why? Secret hidden message: Please don’t hate me because I am beautiful. But, since today is so far the crappiest day of the week, I might as well tell you the whole mother load of Memento: not only is the protagonist incapable of creating new memory after the death of his beloved wife, he is also in constant denial of her death. How would you feel if as you wait in line to buy the ticket, some asshole coming out of the screening room yells out loud, “Luke Skywalker’s father is Darth Vader!” Usually, I hate to know what the movie is all about before seeing it for myself. Pay extra attention to the details; they will keep you entertained and surprised throughout the movie. And probably it is best for you to watch it more than just in one sitting, just to get the basic idea of how the plot goes about. You must see it, believe me. I think it is one of the most innovative movies ever to hit the cinema this decade. The fun of Memento is keeping track of why things happen in the first place (i.e. the reasons). In honor of Memento’s greatness, I have written today’s entry backwards; so please read it again. I love it! The whole story is told backwards, meaning that you will see the ultimate ending of the story in the first scene. The one that won the Best Film Award at the Sundance Film Festival last year. Have you seen the movie ‘Memento’?
